Access Grant Funding for Support Services
The Kaiser Permanente Northern California Community Benefit Grant allows the San Pablo EDC to provide wrap-around Removing Barriers services to clients from anywhere in the Bay Area who fit one of the following qualification categories with an emphasis on opportunity youth:
- Client may be opportunity youth (18-26 yo not employed/not in school)
- Client may be un or underemployed (any age)
- Client may be low to moderate income (at or below 80% AMI for CCC)
- Client may be a returning citizen
- Client may be housing-insecure
- Client may be a veteran
Services currently offered:
- Bilingual computer literacy: $50 per course
- Wardrobe for Opportunity professional attire
- Early Learning Center childcare subsidy (ages 2-5 at Contra Costa College): $150 per month
- Tattoo removal
- Job readiness program with financial literacy (4-day intensive course)
The Kaiser Permanente Northern California Community Benefit Grant offers funding for qualifying clients in the following cities only:

-Alameda
-Albany
-Berkeley
-Emeryville
-Piedmont
-El Cerrito
-El Sobrante
-Hercules
-Pinole
-Richmond
-Rodeo
-San Pablo
