HVAC Assessment, Repair, or Replacement RFP

San Pablo Economic Development Corporation is seeking qualified HVAC contractors to submit proposals for HVAC assessment, repair, or replacement services at Mission Plaza, located at 14501 San Pablo Avenue, San Pablo, CA 94806.

The property currently has an existing rooftop HVAC unit. However, the operational condition of the unit and the electrical service status are unknown. Contractors will be expected to inspect the unit, verify field conditions, and provide recommendations for repair or replacement.

Scope of Work

The selected contractor may be asked to provide services including, but not limited to:

  • Assessment of the existing rooftop HVAC unit
  • Verification of electrical service to the unit
  • Diagnosis of system condition and operability
  • Identification of required repairs
  • Recommendation on whether the unit should be repaired or replaced
  • Full repair or restoration of the existing system, if feasible
  • Full replacement of the rooftop HVAC unit, if recommended
  • Permitting, installation, startup, and commissioning
  • Removal and proper disposal of old equipment, if replacement is required

Contractor Requirements

Contractors must hold a valid California C-20 HVAC Contractor License and carry appropriate insurance. The selected contractor will be required to obtain a City of San Pablo business license prior to commencement of work.

Site Visit

A site visit is required prior to proposal submission. Contractors are responsible for verifying all site conditions, including electrical status, accessibility, code compliance issues, and the physical condition of the existing HVAC unit.
